Rozat-F Tablet is a formulation consisting of two types of medications that help reduce lipid levels in the blood, specifically targeting cholesterol and triglycerides. It is utilized when dietary modifications alone, such as adhering to a low-fat diet, have not successfully lowered these lipid levels. The aim of this medication is to decrease the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Patients can take Rozat-F Tablet either with food or on an empty stomach, and it is recommended to take the tablet at the same time each day to maintain a routine. The dosage is individualized based on the patient’s lipid levels and their response to treatment. Even though individuals with elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels may not exhibit any symptoms, discontinuation of the medication can lead to an increase in lipid levels, which poses a greater risk of heart disease and stroke. Regular monitoring of cholesterol and triglyceride levels is essential. This medication is part of a broader management strategy that should also emphasize a balanced diet low in fat, consistent physical activity, smoking cessation, limited alcohol consumption, and weight management. While using this medication, patients can maintain a normal diet but should avoid high-fat foods. Mild side effects may include nausea, abdominal discomfort, constipation, headaches, excessive gas, and muscle aches, which typically resolve quickly. Patients should consult their physician if side effects persist or if they experience yellowing of the eyes, unusual bleeding, or severe, unexplained muscle pains. Periodic liver function testing may be recommended during treatment. Rozat-F Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with liver disorders. Patients should inform their healthcare provider of any kidney issues or if they are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding since diabetic patients may see an increase in blood sugar levels while on this treatment.
