Skizoril ER 25 Capsule is indicated for the management of schizophrenia, a mental health condition characterized by symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions, which can significantly disrupt an individual’s thought processes and behavior. This medication can be taken with or without food, but it is recommended to take it consistently at the same time each day to help maintain stable medication levels in the bloodstream. Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions regarding the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment. If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember, but do not double up on doses. It is crucial to complete the entire course of treatment as directed, even if you start to feel better, to ensure the effectiveness of the therapy. Abrupt discontinuation of this medication without consulting your healthcare provider can lead to a worsening of symptoms. Be aware of potential side effects such as low blood pressure, dry mouth, headaches, increased sweating, visual disturbances, and hypotension.
